"Portugal dos Pequenitos" (Kidsize Portugal)

Last week we took our nephews to Portugal dos Pequenitos (Kidsize Portugal). It is 200Km from Lisbon and its 70 years old.
It's a small country in miniature where  many typical Portuguese houses and Monuments are represented  and has pavilions dedicated to the former Portuguese colonies. It was founded in 1940, and it is conceived by Bissaya Barreto and designed by the architect Cassiano Branco.
It's fun because kids can get into all the houses and monuments. They love it!

Of course I loved it too, it was nice to remember my visit when I was 7 years old. :)

Then we went to Ponte de Lima (more 200kms) to a family lunch along the Lima river.

And the next day we went to Viana do Castelo. The city of my parents. A beautiful town that brings me good memories of summer holidays.
The North of Portugal (Minho) is beautiful!!

I went in Portugal and I saw this place. It's a beautiful and picturesque place. In Italy we have "Italia in Miniatura" in Rimini where all cities are represented with their most important monuments in miniature. Thanks for these memories :o)
