I'm back! And with new minis.

I'm back! I'm happy to be back making minis again!
Lately I've had a lot of (real life) work and the little free time I had was to go on a few days on holiday near the sea. So, my minis had to wait:)
I still have little time for my minis but with Autumn coming, you feel like staying more at home doing your hobby.
And to start, nothing better than a prep table truly Mediterranean. Inspired by the sun, the sea and the colors of Mediterranean cuisine, this time I made an Italian prep table.
It is a very complete table with many details. All food, the mushrooms, the sliced vegetables, the fresh vegetables, the wine, the meat, and even the towel and the enamel dishes was made by me. The table and the chair were aged by me.
This table was a lot of work and took me a long time, but I'm very happy with the result.

The problem is to start making miniatures. For me miniatures are like sushi, you start slowly and doubtful, but then it becomes an addiction. But its a wonderful addiction! :)
Now I'm addicted to cake stands, teapots and hand painting and believe me, it's great fun!

Sweet Summer - Preparation table

Over the past weekend I started to make a preparation tablen ispired by the heat that we've had in Lisbon (41 º C - 106 º F). All my ideas had to do with fresh food. And I think that's why my new creation looks so fresh.

As you can see, its a preparation table full of fresh fruit, jelly, orange juice, meringue pie and orange meringue cupcakes.

I like working this way, I like to get carried away by the inspiration of the moment.

In real life I have a sweet tooth, I love sweets, but I'm not of those who can eat whatever they want ... So I have my revenge by making minis.
As this weekend was very hot in Lisbon (40ºC) I felt like eating ice cream, so I decided to do a lot of minis and of course, only Sweets ;)
And here is a Pink Meringue Set. In this set I have cakes, cupcakes, cookies, chocolates, marshmallows and of course much meringue.
